I've been using Vista for over 3 years now on 2 HP computers. When they were new, they would lock up a hundred times a day and had a thousand problems. I knew next to nothing about computers and HP tech support knew less that I did. First I "decrapulated" them (I uninstalled all the crap-ware that came on them). Then I disabled as many services as possible. After that, I went into msconfig.exe and stopping most from running at startup. Aero is my favorite feature and I leave all parts of it enabled. After a lot of other tweaks and tricks, my 2 computers are "blazing" fast. If we could only buy computers "pre-configured" the way mine are right now... but we wouldn't be living in "hell" if anything was done "right" in this "insane" world. Insanity rules and reigns in the earth. Can I get an amen on that one?
